We’re back for the second time at Hotel Boutique Castiglione del Lago and Paolo welcomed us warmly. The hotel is super central in the old town, everything is within walking distance. The rooms are modern and high‑quality, the fridge and air‑conditioning work flawlessly, which is essential with the current outside temperatures. Paolo and his wife serve a very nice, abundant breakfast – nothing is missing. From the parking outside the city wall you reach the hotel in about 5 minutes via Porta Fiorentina. We’ll definitely stay a few days again on our next trip to Italy.

The location is great, right in historic Castiglione del lago. Paolo and his wife were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms sit in an old building in the town center, very clean and well kept. We stayed in the suite with a terrace overlooking the lake, which was wonderful, especially with the hot tub that was refreshing in the heat. Breakfast was generous and delicious. It’s a great spot for touring the area; we were just passing by on our way back to the airport, but it would be a fantastic base to visit Southern Tuscany and Umbria. Nothing to say – everything was as it should have been.
