I couldn’t even stay there; we arrived and the building was condemned.

The hotel was shut by the government, and I’m still waiting for an answer because the booking service didn’t respond to my repeated messages.

I booked a little over a month ahead, but when we got there all doors and windows were boarded up and a sign said “No Trespassing by order of the Fire Marshall.” It looked like the place had been closed for a day or two, and I got no notice. After 5 pm we had to find another spot, which cost twice as much for a tiny room. The next day I checked Gateway and saw a notice that the property was no longer available. I wish we’d received advanced notice.

I couldn’t stay there at all, and I was left stranded at the entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park.
