Nothing. Everything: 1. The room smelled very stuffy and it was not very clean 2. The room was very, very old and badly designed 3. Windows could not be opened for airing out because of many spiders on the outside 4. The breakfast was very bad 5. Yamagata is not a nice city to visit. 6. Most importantly: for such a high price, this hotel quality is absolutely injustified ! I do not recommend this hotel to any international tourists
“Best stay ever!”
Staf new my name. The room was huge. Breakfast was delicious. The onsen was so cool! Thr outdoor bath was separated into halfs. One half for bathers and the other half was a koi pond. Ive never seen that before! Such a relaxing stay. Be warned the exit off the yamagata expressway is etc only. I had to drive another 30 minutes to find the next exit
The stay was good.

The spacious onsen with its great view of Yudenyama was wonderful, and the meals were delicious; every staff member was kind, making the stay very comfortable. It was my first time in Yamagata and Sagae, and the lodging was so good I’d love to return for a relaxed visit. I was grateful for the handy items they lent out, like extension cords and a blood‑pressure monitor. I didn’t notice any real drawbacks.

The staff were attentive and the setting was pleasant, but the outdoor bath was out of order, so I hope it gets fixed soon.
