The location was excellent with good car parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the evening meal selection was wide, well‑cooked, and nicely presented. The room offered limited storage for anything beyond an overnight stay.

All aspects were positive, and there were no negatives.

We spent a single night, enjoyed drinks, a few rounds of pool, and breakfast at the Wheatsheaf. The room was spotless, quiet, and snug, with a perfect décor. Downstairs, the pub exuded a warm, charming, and welcoming vibe. We ordered Henry Weston and Mahou pints, which were spot‑on. The pool surface was flawless—straight as an arrow. The parking lot was large, and we received keys for the back‑door access so we could come and go without passing through the pub. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to chat, so a special thank you for the great service. Every minute was enjoyable. Highly recommend for a weekend break, a drink, a game of pool, or food!

I booked very late and arrived just before the 10 pm closing time. The room was cosy and small, clean and fresh. The tea/coffee tray only had one cup, but otherwise everything was fine. Breakfast was lovely. The staff were helpful and down to earth. Nothing else to note.
