“Mixed experience”
I personally loved the look of this place, it's like an oasis with jungle and ocean views. The rooms are big with basic decor and outdoor bathrooms, which I thought was a nice touch. The breakfast was great, lots of food and it all tasted good. That being said, it's supposed to be a retreat but it felt like a luxury campsite - the rooms are basically tents with no walls, so it's super noisy.
“Perfect spot”
Everything was perfect! The decor was really nice, the room was spacious and comfy, and the outdoor shower was a great bonus. The hotel is close to the south entrance of the jaguar park and all the clubs and shops in the hotel zone. It's a great spot to relax, hit the beach, and go out - we'd definitely go back. One tiny complaint is that the beach is a bit small, but the rooftop pool over the ocean makes up for it.
“Cold and Uncomfortable Rooms”
We were really looking forward to our stay, but the rooms were a letdown. They were basically tents with canvas structures and no heating, which made it freezing at night. The shower was lukewarm at best, and the water didn't last long. The room was also really dark, and the staff didn't seem able to do much to help. We suffered through the cold and discomfort, but it definitely ruined our stay.
“Rustic Charm, Small Beach”
I loved the unique, rustic vibe of this hotel, but I did wish the beach was bigger. Still, it wasn't a deal-breaker, and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel's style was definitely chic, and I appreciated the laid-back atmosphere.
“Mostly awesome”
I loved the super original rooms, the food was amazing, and the events and location were great. My one gripe is that the shower didn't have hot water, that would've been nice.
