“Gemütlicher Aufenthalt in einer wunderschönen Gegend”
The accommodation is very quiet, and the landlords were very friendly. At breakfast, the owner shared many hiking tips and talked a lot about the local history around the large table. The furnishings were of high quality. The only issue was that you weren’t allowed to cook your own meals in the kitchen.

The location and peace of the house are great, with absolute silence at night; the surroundings are ideal for walking and hiking, though the village itself feels like an old ski resort and a bit dated. We found it fully occupied, which made it a bit crowded at times.

Only the location was good. The breakfast was bad: stale bread on two of the five days, croissants that were tough, and the only spreads were three jars of jam, all of which were taken by everyone. Coffee was barely available because it was only brewed once, and if you added milk later the previous batch had already been finished. The fridge contained a small jar of yoghurt and a bottle of milk, which were so sparse and tasteless that we had never experienced anything like it. We had to clean everything ourselves and load the dishwasher. Shoes had to be taken out and stored in a drawer, and the door was not allowed to stay open even though it was too warm inside because of the cat. Towels were not changed, so we requested and received new ones after two days. The room was not cleaned, even after we left the key in the door as requested. On the fourth day the owner was cleaning a room next to ours and still asked if she could clean the toilet; after that it never happened again. Overall, a beautiful house with potential but no service and very odd house rules. It was one of the most expensive stays (we were traveling for a month) with the worst service. We will not return. PS Veronica was nice but we hardly saw her.
The cottage is stunning and perfectly located, and Veronica gives great advice. The bedding could be better.
