Nothing good. The creakiest floorboard I’ve ever heard, a fridge that was broken and apparently had been broken for a while, bed bugs. I discovered the bugs at 1am on my first night after getting itchy and noticing red marks on my body. Because it was so late I couldn’t arrange elsewhere and had to stay the night. Some of those bites are now infected. I cancelled the booking and left the next morning. Even though I had photos of the bites and a close‑up video of a bed bug on the mattress, the owner was very difficult about refunding and it took many hours of back and forth with him and customer service before a refund was agreed. I was shocked to see the same room listed again that very same day I left. The owner made no effort to address the bed‑bug problem and seemed willing to let the next guest walk into the same situation. AVOID THIS PLACE.

The location was great—just a short walk to the centre and close to the station. The information provided and pictures were accurate and easy to follow, and the layout was clean. The décor was a bit outdated and the floorboards were very creaky, which made me feel like I was disturbing others. The shared bathroom was fine but not ideal, located downstairs through the kitchen.

The location was not good, with drunk people coming to the main door and asking unpleasant questions. I do not like the room at all: bed bugs in the bed, the mattress was too hard, the boiler in the room made noise and was bright. The wooden floor was very dirty and produced disturbing noise when walking on it. My advice to anyone is to avoid staying in this accommodation.

Bed Bugs, and infected bites despite using over‑the‑counter medicines. I have already reviewed this place and have messaged the Landlord but I have heard nothing back, so it is now in the hands of my legal team due to the severity of the bed bugs and the amount of time it is taking to heal as I am still using antibiotic oil because of the infection, and it is 3 weeks later!
