The location was a 10‑minute walk from the Vatican, with various restaurants nearby, and I had no complaints during our stay. Maybe the bathroom could use a little updating, but overall it met our needs.

I’m writing this detailed review so fellow travelers can get real info. We’d never stayed in an apartment before, and Rome’s hotels are pricey, so we tried an apartment rental because of its low cost and location. Some online reviews mention the bathroom is outside the room; that’s because the two‑bedroom unit is sometimes rented whole or just by room, as it was for us. The Prati neighborhood is safe, clean, and well‑connected. A shuttle bus (Sitbus €7 or Terravision €6) drops off just a 7‑minute walk from the place, and the historic center is a 30‑minute walk, while the Vatican is about 10 minutes. The apartment is very quiet; all windows face an inner courtyard, so no street noise. Renting the whole unit means no housemates disturb you. It has a full kitchen with stove and fridge, and the hosts give free fruit, water, Coke, and juice when you arrive. A small Pam Local grocery store behind the building sells water, alcohol, and essentials—very handy. Il Gianfornaio café nearby offers tasty, affordable breakfasts, a real hidden gem. Guttilla Alta Gelateria Italiana – PRATI offers a wide range of ice cream. For dinner we found Ai Balestrari In Prati, with reasonable prices and good food. Another café, Bakery House – Prati near the Vatican, was disappointing because of high prices and hidden fees. The décor is simple and dated, and the bathroom needs serious renovation. Don’t expect a comfortable mattress (a squeaky spring model) or nice feather pillows (they’re flat and uncomfortable). You should be ready for that.

The staff were attentive and the details were well handled. The room was large and the bathroom was also spacious, with good bus connections. The air conditioning worked well too. Overall it was very comfortable and you could relax after a long walk, haha. The beds were small and the mattress was very basic, and the bathroom is outside; it’s actually a house, so that’s normal but you do need your own key.
