The rooms come with AC, a fridge, and a TV that actually works—unlike many other places—and the above‑ground pool is better than its reputation, especially for the price and the walkable distance to the center. And last but not least, Olaf’s “Schnitzel and homemade Leberwurst” is fantastic—what more could you ask for? This was the first guesthouse in Southeast Asia in five months where there was nothing to dislike.
The room was huge, clean, and cozy with amazing views. The staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful, and the food was great. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Monica Guest House, so much that I extended it to three nights instead of one. The large bright room with a smart TV that has YouTube and Netflix was a highlight, and the huge rooftop balcony gives almost 360‑degree views of Kampot and the mountains. To be honest, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
The bedding is comfortable and the staff are smiling. The pool is a plastic above‑ground model, which is very disappointing.
The place is nice, run by Olav, a German expat who’s also a great cook, and his wife. It’s a little outside the city center but can be reached easily by Grab or tuk‑tuk. There are just five flawless rooms, all well equipped, clean, and proper, offering great value.
