The location and view were fantastic, the room felt cozy and homey, and the host was friendly. The shared bathroom was fine, but it could use a refresh.

Frägsta Hälsingegård B&B in Näsviken blends historic charm with modern comfort. The 19th‑century manor offers private beach access, a sun terrace, and lush gardens overlooking Lake Näsviken. Rooms feature parquet floors, fireplaces, and private baths, with family and hypoallergenic options. The on‑site restaurant serves Italian dishes, while breakfast showcases local specialties. Nearby, hiking, skiing, and the Hälsingland Museum await.

By far the best place I’ve ever stayed! My partner agrees. We love hälsingegårdar and beautiful old buildings, and we were pleasantly surprised by everything else, like the food and service. I can’t believe it didn’t cost more (good thing it didn’t, otherwise I might not have booked it, but now that we know how amazing it is we think it’s worth more). The mix of Italian and Hälsingegård culture is excellent! It all feels luxurious and completely unique. The cultural values of the place have been preserved even with many visitors. The owners are committed to conserving the site’s heritage, making respectful repairs only where needed. If you love heritage buildings and good food you’ll like it here, but remember the old buildings are meant to stay as they are and some surfaces can’t be cleaned like a new hotel. The staff did a very good job cleaning. The beds were super comfortable; I’m usually picky about beds and pillows. The bathrooms are shared (at least in the house we stayed in), but it would never be possible to change that in these houses, installing more bathrooms would ruin the original buildings and the experience of stepping into the past. Amazing views, you can swim and sauna, and you can borrow canoes or paddleboards. I have a feeling this will become a place we’ll return to repeatedly. Everything was so great, there’s nothing that made the stay less perfect, but if I’d try to improve something I’d go through the bathrooms and make sure the soap dispensers work properly, etc. But mostly I wouldn’t change a single thing!
