The setting is peaceful and beautifully surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the busy everyday routine, and the views are breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. We were extremely disappointed with the service at Windfall Wine Farm: when we arrived, our booking was wrong, and instead of the deluxe double room we’d paid for, we were put in a much smaller one‑bedroom cottage. Worse, the host, Nicoll, came across as arrogant and rude when we tried to fix the issue, and there was no attempt to resolve the mistake, offer a refund, or even check if we were comfortable with the alternative. Paying for a higher‑end room but getting a significantly lower standard of accommodation without any compensation or concern for guest satisfaction is unacceptable, and this left us feeling undervalued and frustrated.

The cottage is situated in such a beautiful area. The grounds are well kept and the pool is gorgeous. The check in instructions were easy to follow and I felt quite safe. My pillowslip had some dust and a dead spider on it and the duvet had a small mark. The bench inside is uncomfortable and unsuitable for 4 people. It could rather be a sofa with an occasional chair in each room
