The hotel sits a bit on the outskirts of the city center, and there was quite a bit of noise from work around the property; the breakfast eggs were fried in a convection oven and tasted bland, while the soft-boiled eggs were not soft-boiled at all and were green inside.

We booked a hotel in Kristiansand that turned out to be in Kristiansund, which we realized too late; we called another Thon hotel in Kristiansand but it was fully booked, and the staff also suggested Thon Hotell Storgata, which is many hours away.
