“Schönes Haus, schöner Platz”
The property is beautiful and completely quiet, the breakfast room feels noble, and the courtyard has a spacious seating area. The breakfast offers fine selections. Our bathroom was very large and comfortable. The hosts are professional, friendly, helpful, and speak good English. However, our double bed only had one mattress and one slatted frame, making it extremely saggy. We ended up rolling into the middle of the bed like in old budget French hotels, disturbing each other and sleeping miserably. If you want more than just food and sleep, the travel times to cities such as Alba and Asti are relatively long. The most remarkable thing: we bought 200 € worth of wine, yet the winemaker charged 17 € for a tasting of 5 wines. That’s not normal – we’ve never experienced it in any country. In Austria, Germany, France, Slovenia, Croatia… wine tastings are free for buyers!
