The only good thing was the location, but the bathroom was a disaster—we had to disinfect it before using it because there were moths in the rooms; at least the bed was clean.

The accommodation is very well situated, the room is spacious, very quiet, and well-heated, and the host is charming and very helpful, but the bathroom is very old.

It is a beautiful and artistic place; the host greeted us warmly, it was spotless, and it sits in a very central spot.

The host is wonderful, the place is lovely, a cozy old house with windows looking straight onto the canal, though it was a bit cool, which is typical of old houses.

The apartment is huge with canal views in a quiet part of central Amsterdam, part of Jan Van Eden’s art gallery with gorgeous works, offering great value compared to worse local lodgings; the owner, Jan, is friendly and speaks Spanish well, a 10‑star experience—just don’t expect a new or fancy place, it’s a bit old but that’s part of its charm (and price).
