“Overall, a good stay”
The location is fantastic and meeting Plamen with his goats was definitely the highlight, but the bathroom is tiny and has to serve five people, and the rooms feel a bit cramped. The hosts are friendly but not locals, so don’t expect truly authentic food or hospitality – the menu is limited and you’ll need to plan your meals. If you want a real taste of the Rhodope, chat with the neighbors in nearby Beden.
“100/10 hidden gem in Breze”
The drive up is a bit tricky, so take it slow, but once you arrive you’re welcomed into a warm, loving home with an incredible view. Our room was spotless and felt homey, the shower was great, and Katie served a wonderful dinner and breakfast. In the morning Plamenco surprised us with a guitar concert, and he also gave solid recommendations for the next day, even offering to guide us. A true hidden gem that’s worth the little detour.
“Неприятен”
The stay was disappointing – the shared bathroom was poorly cleaned, we even found a used napkin on the floor, and the towels supplied were stained and had to be asked for. Our room was tucked under the stairs with no private bathroom, no curtains, and a view of the stairwell; when we asked for a different room we were told none were available.
“Hidden Gem - Quiet, Comfy - beautiful view, food and music”
The room was immaculate, with a fantastic view, a comfortable bed and a spacious private bathroom that stayed warm even on frosty mornings. Wi‑Fi was available, though we didn’t need it because the phone reception was fine, and the bumpy road to the village is just part of the experience. Katja and Plamen were wonderful hosts—Katja prepared a vegetarian dinner on request, and Plamen’s guitar playing after dinner was unforgettable.
