The location was great, but the washing machine hadn’t been replaced.
“Acceptable for few nights but no more”
It’s very close to the city centre and the price is good for this. The place is an apartment turned dormitory, with many people in it, thin walls, and shared bathrooms, so it’s noisy. After check‑in you get a tiny towel and your own roll of toilet paper for the bathroom, and the light in the room didn’t even work. It’s fine for a night or two, but not for a longer stay.
The neighbourhood is quiet, the room is large, clean, and there’s good cooking facilities.
I stayed for a month and the room itself was fine, but the overall cleanliness was lacking – the kitchen was filthy, I had to deep‑clean some drawers, one fridge was broken, and the whole place had a constant odor because there are no windows in the kitchen, which is basically a single room; the bathrooms were just okay. One night a drunken man stayed in another room, smoked inside, and even approached my room to ask something, which made me feel uneasy – something the host can’t really control but worth noting. The price is quite reasonable, so if you’re only staying a week or so I’d still recommend the room, but not for longer periods.
“Скромный хостел с отдельной комнатой.”
It’s located 15 minutes on foot from the Old Town, passing through beautiful modern‑architecture blocks. At night it was quiet and safe. The staff spoke at least three languages over the phone. The room wasn’t very tidy – the bedding was clean but not ironed, raising doubts about whether it had been used before. The window was dirty, which lowered my trust in the cleaning quality. It feels more like a very modest hostel.
