The reception girl was very kind, and the hotel provided underground parking. The room I stayed in felt more like a large room than an apartment or studio and had no refrigerator; the window wouldn’t open. After asking the reception for both items, we returned from a walk and found a fridge and a working window. The only issue left was that the hydro‑massage bath was just a regular tub, and the showers in that tub didn’t work. The terrace was too small.

The room was fantastic—comfortable bed, special bathroom, on the fifth floor with a view of the fortress church, panoramic windows on two sides, and a little terrace. The cleaning was meticulous, it was spacious with a very nice little lounge, and the live view was even better than the photos. I booked a VIP suite with breakfast included, but was told the restaurant was closed and no discount or voucher was offered for another breakfast spot. The bathroom in such an important room should have a higher‑quality sink, perhaps with a vanity for toiletries, instead of a secondary basement sink. What I truly hated was seeing a non‑functional hydro‑massage tub in the photo; if a photo shows a hydro‑massage tub in a VIP suite, it must work. They justify it by saying there’s no mention that it’s a hydro‑massage tub. Keep that in mind if you decide to book this room. There was also no mini‑fridge in the room, which would have been appreciated given the room’s nature, and some parts of the hotel seemed abandoned.

The location was great, and we could park our car right at the door. The reservation included breakfast, but a few days before the trip we were told the breakfast room was closed; the hotel gave us only 5 euros for two people as compensation, and Booking gave us no response.

Parking was free and the staff were friendly and professional, which was a nice touch. The only hiccup was that I had booked a room with breakfast included, but the hotel later told me they couldn't provide it. That meant I had to scramble around town for a bite, which was a real inconvenience since it was supposed to be part of the room price.
