Quiet location, though you have to find it first. Modern, well‑maintained room and the breakfast was very good. The window in the room could not be opened, and although there were several key‑boxes, after some trial and error I finally found the right one.

The area is beautiful and the staff at the actual hotel are friendly. There was no signage, so I thought it was someone’s house; lighting after dark was poor, and the room smelled horrible—someone had smoked there and every attempt to mask it with cheap air fresheners was ineffective. The room was cheaply decorated, the bathroom was not particularly clean, and the mattress was awful—springs rattled every time I moved and it was bad for my back.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the shower leaked on the first day; it was clear the cabin had been split into two, so the room was just a bed with no storage, far from what we expected. The room was a disappointment.

Beautiful property in a lovely location, it’s been finished to a high standard, modern, clean and a pleasure to stay in. The beds really let the property down, I had read previous reviews and thought it wouldn’t be that bad but both the double bed and the sofa bed were pretty awful and sleeping is such an important part of the stay , the beds just don’t do the property justice, and it’s such as an easy fix too, a new mattress for the bed and a mattress topper for the sofa beds. It would be perfect then
