“Lots of problems, so much unfulfilled potential”
The location is good for the town, but honestly many places would also be good. The town itself was nice, but nothing special. Still, a good location for hikes. Parking was easy and spacious. Air con was powerful. Staff were friendly enough, same as the whole region really. They helped when asked. Quiet location. But the room is noisy, see the negatives. We stayed for 3 nights. At best this is a 1 night place. It has so much potential, but it just isn’t fulfilled. The bed is seriously noisy. They have wooden beds that are really creaky. The slightest movement in bed and it makes a lot of creaking sound. I'm a light sleeper, I got next to no sleep on the 3 nights we stayed. I was broken by the end and it made hiking so much harder and less enjoyable. Lack of furniture. There's no chair. Not even a simple one. They are not advertising ones but even a simple chair would be appreciated after a long hike. When your dirty and wet, you have to sit on the bed. There's no housekeeping, so you don't sit. Which is miserable after a long tiring hike in the heat. There a few places to put stuff on, but it's super limited. If you need to hang wet/dirty clothes. You have no options. No housekeeping. You can request new towels, and you'll get them. I problems if you can catch the staff. Single pillow only, really poor pillow too. I had to bulk it out with my clothes. Air con was only cool. At night it got cold, and the heating option didn't work. Breakfast. Was mostly fine. As other reviews suggest, limited choices. But ok for pre hike. My issue is the 1 or 2 hot options available, we're only hot if you were lucky enough to get them fresh. They put them in warmer trays, but then didn't use anything to keep them warm. I'm not a fan of cold fried eggs, maybe that's just me.
