I was told the rate when I booked, but at check‑in they slapped on an extra $100 – $50 each night – and then demanded a $200 cash deposit for incidentals. Housekeeping walked in without even knocking, which felt invasive. To top it off, they accused me of being noisy and even of smoking because I left a pack of cigarettes on the nightstand, even though I take a sleeping pill and am out by 10 pm every night.
