“I was happy with the room.”
I was happy that my pet could stay with me, and there were plenty of spots around the hotel where she could relieve herself. The TV, however, kept losing programming and we couldn’t watch anything.

The breakfast was fantastic, especially the sausage and eggs. The pool was outside and a bit dirty, and the door to the ice dispenser was a little sticky.

The parking was safe for our moving truck and still close to I‑40. The hotel tried to clean up with a new paint job in the room, but the tub and shower curtain were already moldy, the tub took forever to drain after each shower, and the carpeted rooms were never that clean. Like many other Best Westerns, you only get very basic amenities and the overall feel is that the management—usually not American but foreign—tries to give you the least possible. We were exhausted from driving, slept a bit longer than usual, so the free included breakfast was gone by 9 am. It was way overpriced, charged like a hotel while it was a mediocre motel. The staff weren’t friendly and seemed to care less about their jobs.
