The place was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was excellent.

I loved the great location and the staff greeted me warmly when I arrived; the outdoor seating area was nice for a drink after check‑in. Travelling solo with my dog for a training weekend, I felt welcomed and was offered a reservation for an evening meal, though I had plans to meet friends elsewhere. The room was lovely and clean, and the breakfast in the room had plenty of choices, which suited my situation. However, there was a slight noise outside late at night, probably when the bar was closing, which disturbed my dog a bit since it was his first night away, and the TV wouldn’t turn on, which I would have used for background noise.

The decor in the restaurant/pub was beautiful, yet it felt very formal and not particularly welcoming.

We arrived late and only slept in the room for one night; the next morning was very early and I didn’t see anyone, but everything was fine. The breakfast was a huge waste of food: a large plate of meat and pie, yoghurts, cakes, cereals, jams—maybe they should ask when we check in about breakfast in the room, so we wouldn’t have put so much food in the bin. I’m a vegetarian but my husband isn’t, yet the food was too much and could have been saved if asked.
