Between the mountains and the sea, Casa Laureles feels like a quiet retreat. The view is gorgeous, and watching the sunset from the pool is unforgettable. The jungle lodge is comfy, modern, and well‑equipped—no AC, but the breezes keep it cool. Homemade bread and jam are a treat, and Ernest and Verena are friendly and low‑key. Just avoid taking Route 160 from Samara; it’s in bad shape.

The spot is awesome, with a view of the sea and a stunning sunset. The pool is lovely, and Ernesto and Verena are super friendly hosts. We loved the homemade bread and jam at breakfast.

Verena and Ernesto are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast—think homemade bread, cinnamon brioche, jam, fresh orange juice, and a tasty bircher muesli—was a highlight. The pool view is a dream, and at night you can see geckos on the terrace.
