“Good location but would have paid more if things were as they appear in the booking site photos”
Positives: Check‑in was smooth. The property is well‑located, close to restaurants, cafés, shops, and the beach. I could imagine it being front‑row during the V8 Supercars. Negatives: The whole place needs renovating; first impressions are sad, old and rundown. In our room the bed had a broken leg in the middle and we had to prop it up with a couple of hard‑cover books, otherwise it felt like we might roll out. The décor is cheap, old‑fashioned, paint is peeling, rust around door frames, etc. For the price it was tolerable but disappointing compared to the photos on the booking sites. That might explain why the place is up for sale—maybe an injection of capital could raise the standards.
