“Perfect”

The location was perfect, offering a lovely peaceful view, and the staff were very helpful, even decorating the lodge with balloons and banners for a birthday. However, the single beds had flat and uncomfortable pillows, just as noted before.

“Peaceful and clean site”

Getting the key was easy, and the communication with clear instructions made the check‑in and check‑out smooth; the lodge was clean and tidy upon arrival, and all the amenities we needed were available, including a great coffee machine for fresh coffee in the morning. As three mums visiting the nearby spa, we had everything we needed, watched movies on the smart TV at night, and the site was super peaceful, very clean, and smart with plenty of empty plots. I would return.

“A very enjoyable stay in a clean quiet lodge.”

The place was clean and offered good value, quiet and peaceful, but the towels were small and the skylight let light in early in the morning.

“A very relaxing late summer stay”

The site is quiet and very well kept. About half of the lodges are privately owned, which shows it’s worth visiting again. Our three‑bedroom lodge was very roomy and ideally located for relaxing stays and trips to local attractions and York. Several very pretty villages and award‑winning restaurants are nearby. The deck outside has two large seating areas if you want to stay home and watch the sun. Nothing worth mentioning. We passed on a few minor comments to the very helpful staff, who appreciated them.

The lodge was very comfortable and spotless, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, though I noticed a few small gaps like the absence of blinds on the bedroom skylights.
