“Rapport qualité-prix imbattable”
I was guided to this place by the green Michelin guide of Limousin, and it surprised me with the practical details in the room and the manager’s warm welcome, who took time at check‑in to explain the main sights of Limoges and Haute‑Vienne and handed me four good restaurant addresses, including the remarkable “Table du Couvent” perfect after visiting the ceramic museum. Room 43, a mansard, has a spacious bathroom with carpeted floor, a secure sink drain, a shower that consistently delivers strong pressure on the top floor, thoughtful non‑aggressive lighting, exceptional bed comfort, and the rare luxury of ergonomic leather chairs that are also visually pleasing. There’s a doorstop for the room door, no useless phone because everyone already has a phone to call the front desk. The building, an old townhouse, was tastefully renovated and features elegant common areas, especially the wooden staircase I used daily on the way down. Its central location is equidistant from various points of interest, and a municipal parking spot costs €4. The room, labeled “élégance”, was €110 per night. Great stay! The Wi‑Fi was seriously unreliable, cutting out 2 to 3 times per hour throughout the stay, and I had trouble reconnecting after my browser was blocked. I told the manager, who couldn’t act over the weekend.
