The spot was in a great area and the room was clean and quiet, but I felt uneasy and couldn't unwind, as if I was a nuisance and there was little interaction; I need places that make you feel at ease, which is crucial for me when I travel.

The breakfast was outstanding, the location was excellent, the host was fantastic, and there are so many tiny details around that keep it from feeling crowded; the only downside was the shower, which is very finicky—once you hit the right temperature on the dial you can’t adjust it again, and the water pressure is low, but that’s all; a previous review mentioned a “loud duvet” but that’s not true.

We were greeted warmly and Susan handed us a parking disc with instructions; we appreciated the assistance with our overnight luggage; our double en‑suite room on the second floor was bright and well equipped with views of the back of the property; breakfast was plentiful and excellent with plenty of fresh fruit; Albany House is very close to the town centre and all local amenities.
