The short walk to the beach was fine, but everything else besides the walk to the beach was not.

It was a disaster. The staff were unfriendly, it stank, the furniture was old, the stairs were dangerous, we fled after one night, and there were no parking spots. The breakfast was bad.

The location is absolutely unbeatable, and the staff are friendly.

The first impression from outside was an old, run-down hotel, and that feeling stuck around inside. Two older men at the front desk, a stale, damp smell, and a very narrow, steep staircase. When we got the room, the sheets were stained, dirty, with hair and spots. We complained, but they insisted everything was clean. Eventually they swapped the sheets and cleaned the bathroom, though everything in the bathroom felt wobbly. The next morning's breakfast was a disappointment: a colorful dining room crowded with dead animals, dusty displays, and a limited selection; the containers for sausage and cheese were especially grimy. In better days the hotel might have been exceptional with a reading nook by a fireplace and decorative walls, but now it doesn't look like a three‑star place. A bit more friendliness could have made some points acceptable.
