The journey was tough, but that made the view even better! The staff were extremely friendly, the music was great, and the sake pairing was spot on—totally satisfying. The hot spring was small but seemed well maintained.

Close to the major sightseeing spots. The WiFi signal should be improved

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially at check‑in and during meals when they explained the menu. The food was excellent, and our room was spacious with a lovely view. After checkout my daughter left a necklace, and the staff arranged to send it to our next hotel, which was much appreciated. Front‑desk and restaurant staff went out of their way to assist with tours, lunch, and everything else.

Even with a few rainy days, my time in Niigata’s rice fields was perfect. Renting an electric bike for a small fee lets you explore the area if you’re not driving. The food and drinks are delicious, and you should definitely try the sake and/or wine pairing with dinner.
