The spot was just far enough to feel like a proper escape, yet close enough to grab groceries or a quick coffee. “The Shay” was a charming, snug cabin that had every little thing we could wish for, and the indoor and outdoor fire pits were a real treat. The décor was sweet, too. No complaints at all.

We landed late, but Trish, our host, was great and turned on some lights—helped a lot because it was pitch dark even with the high beams. My husband and I found the place super relaxing; he even enjoyed a deep bath while watching the cows and calves mosey by the window. The only nitpick: the TV should have been in the living area instead of the bedroom, but honestly the views and animals beat any TV.
