The lodge was perfect, the hot tub was amazing and spotless, and the host was very welcoming.
“A great place for R&R, and central to explore. A really nice time seeing the beauty of Wales.”
The setting was quiet and private, with adjacent lodges occupied yet still feeling exclusive, and the front view offered sloping fields dotted with sheep and lambs. Yet the private approach road had several deep potholes that should be addressed, the hot tub was warm but its jets were non‑functional, and the two can openers provided didn’t work.
I liked the location and the room again, but the absence of staff was frustrating; arriving at 10 pm made it impossible to get through, and we could only use the emergency number.

The spot was convenient, and the rooms were spacious enough for a family. However, the lodge itself feels quite old and poorly maintained—dusty, full of flies, and the toilet started leaking right from day one. The railings need securing, and both the carpets and sofa could use a thorough cleaning. I reported the leaking toilet but nothing was fixed, and the hot tub surface still needs to be cleaned.
“My friends and I didn't like talking to the woman who introduced herself as the hostess.”
I appreciated the lodge’s location, but the houses need renovation and repairs, and the lack of personal space invasion was a downside.
