“FABULOUS”
The room was gorgeous, spacious, and beautifully decorated, complete with a fully equipped kitchen that had a double electric hob, kettle, toaster, fridge, and a small freezer section. Johnny, the owner, was fantastic—he helped us find free parking outside the house every day, even though we were arriving on a public holiday and struggling to find a spot. The house sits on the main street, so it can get noisy, but that’s part of the charm of the town center, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and a 24‑hour eatery/bar just 50‑100 m away. The bed was comfy, the shower always hot, and the balcony was a lovely spot for evenings with wine and a book. Mdina is a 5‑minute walk, and the bus stops are a minute away, though we didn’t need them because we had a car. Breakfast isn’t in the building; it’s at a small café next door, and Johnny gives you vouchers to choose from about five or six options—my favorite was egg on sourdough toast with smashed avocado, chilies, and honey, plus fresh orange juice or tea/coffee.
