It's an excellent family-run ryokan located in a quiet laneway close to Nabari Station, perfect for basing trips to nearby attractions including the Akame 48 waterfalls, Kaochi Dani valley, and Soni highlands. The hosts were very kind and helpful, and the rooms were spotless

The owner was absolutely lovely and made me feel right at home. The breakfast was served in a beautiful bento box, and I was stuffed to the brim. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the bedding was so fluffy and comfortable that I slept like a baby. However, the bathroom situation is a bit tricky – there's only one bathroom, so you have to wait in line, and the washing machine is in the bathroom, so you can't use it when someone else is in there. Just be aware of that before you book.

I loved the traditional Japanese vibe and the attention to detail that went into creating this cozy atmosphere. The room was spotless and had a great sense of cleanliness. However, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a bedside lamp or table light – it would have been nice to have some extra lighting. A small desk lamp would have made a big difference.

I was really impressed with the breakfast they prepared for me, even though I made a last-minute request. For 770 yen, the quantity and quality were top-notch, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The bathroom was also spotless and a great place to unwind. My only gripe is that the room had a bit of a strong smell, probably from the bedding or towels - it wasn't a deal-breaker, but it was a bit off-putting.
