All the usual conveniences were nearby and the station was close, which was good. The room was just enough for a single nap; it was narrow. Because it was a smoking room, a faint odor remained.

The hotel’s location is excellent, just a few blocks from Otsuka Station on the JR Yamanote line, so I could get anywhere without trouble. The rooms are small but quiet and peaceful, so I slept very well. The rooms are extremely small—definitely the smallest I’ve seen in Japan, and two large suitcases wouldn’t fit. Another odd detail is that you must leave the key at reception when you leave; it wasn’t a problem but it felt strange.

The room was called STUDIO, which is ridiculous. The description said it would have a washing machine, but there was none. It was the smallest room I’ve stayed in Japan; only the bed fits.

Having a private toilet is essential. The hotel’s convenient location near the Yamanote Line made travel easy and cut down on train changes to reach popular attractions. I mistakenly booked a smoking room, but otherwise the whole experience was wonderful.
