Nothing in the hotel except a quiet, pleasant, cool/green coffee shop around the corner; for budget travelers who dare to shop and walk in streets without footpaths and with heavy traffic, there is a washing machine and a fridge, but no way to cook, no cutlery or dishes. Everything is in Chinese only, except some receptionists speak English; the TV is Chinese only and offers only Chinese channels. Noise comes from the street because it is high and isolated. The Spartan Chinese‑style restaurant food is edible but not very good.

Quiet, good space, staff are kind and helpful, but it was claimed that an airport shuttle was available and free. That was not the case; the staff called a pass‑up and we paid for it (which was not a problem). Not many English items were available, most were written in Chinese.

The accommodation is ideal for solo travelers and those looking for a temporary mini home, complete with a nice compact kitchen, laundry washing machine, and bathroom, and offers a great view straight from the bedroom with a beautiful sunset. Its proximity to the airport means you can watch planes taking off and landing without any noise disturbance. 24/7 security is a big plus, the staff are very good, communication is excellent, and I am very happy with my stay. No TV in the room, and if you’re fat like America it definitely isn’t recommended—sad but true.

The rooftop pool was decent but not as advertised, with less water and a bit dirty. Only two of the six staff we saw were friendly, the room was small, smelled of tobacco, the bed was uncomfortable and there was no TV. The bathroom fixtures were old and looked grimy, some lights were broken, and the price we got was $20 instead of $80, so it’s not worth the full price.
