The Star Grand on the Gold Coast was fantastic; our room was beautiful and roomy, and the king bed was quite comfortable for a picky sleeper. However, housekeeping was lacking: the same glass of water stayed on my side table the entire stay, and they only changed towels and made the bed; the open shower caused water to spill onto the floor.

The room was fine, but the shower floor and walls needed a good scrub. The buffet breakfast lacked variety; the egg station was too slow when the hotel was full and could use an extra station on each side.
