Oskar, the host, is a wonderful man—always present and available yet not intrusive, and his son Leo is the same. The place sits next to the church, a bit away from most restaurants and tourist bus stops, but you can walk a kilometer to meet your tour group or for dinner without trouble. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and well decorated. Keep in mind that bathrooms and the kitchen are shared, so it’s a dorm‑style setup, which is pretty standard in Iceland. I’d advise you not to be a rude guest: respect the recycling, trash sorting, and dish‑washing rules, and only stay here if you’re willing to consider others.
