The welcome was friendly and thoughtful, the breakfast extra, and chatting with the owner was very pleasant. Parking was a bit tricky.

A cozy, homey spot. We stayed one night. It’s just a 40‑minute walk up the hill to Sancerre, and depending on how much wine you sip, the walk back can be even shorter; ;-) The host was very friendly, and we couldn’t find any open restaurants within walking distance, but we ended up getting fresh food and wine from the host and her friends who happened to be having a garden gathering that night. ❣️

The décor was wonderfully old‑fashioned for a book lover. Great breakfast with nice conversation. A lovely spot in the garden. The street in front of the house is very loud, and the heat made it impossible to open the windows.

The breakfast was great, the room had air‑conditioning, and we had a car to get around the city because we were on bikes. Nothing else to mention.
