Quality Inn Spring Valley - Nanuet

It was a sunny day, but the whole hotel smelled awful—a mix of mustiness, dampness, and cigarette smoke that started in the hallways and spread into the room. The room I got had a red stain on the carpet that looked like blood; the shower took about 10 minutes to get hot water, and the towels were very small.

“Comfortable but expensive for what we got”

Check‑in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast had a ton of variety. Our room was right next to an outside door, and all night we heard it slam shut; we were in an “accessible room” even though neither of us is disabled, and it felt like the door slamming all night was a poor choice for a room that should have been quieter. I’m sure you can find a way to soften the door closing.

“Ok, place to sleep”

The value was relatively good compared to other options, but the bathroom needs an upgrade and the vanity light is fluorescent.

“YUCK”

The place was absolutely filthy: the lobby smelled like a smoky, cloudy funk, trash and dirt littered every corner, and the elevators and hallways were no better. The room itself was a mess, and the side door that should only open with a guest room key is broken and doesn’t close properly, letting anyone walk in and reach rooms and stairwells. Breakfast consisted of cereal, yogurts, and prepackaged muffins, which was terrible for the price. We visit this area at least monthly to see our son at the nearby college, and I will never stay here again. The hotel was dirty and unsafe because the doors don’t lock.
