The house is well situated in Val Maggia, just as Val Bavona is going away. It has everything you need – a well‑equipped kitchen, a seating area, and a room with a balcony and mountain view. Hanspeter was also very helpful. The only issue is that there is no decent restaurant in Cavergno; the local pizzeria is authentic but the food is a bit “lukewarm”. If you’re not driving, you’ll have to think about what to bring.

Hanspeter and Barbara are two charming, very attentive hosts! The room is very clean, the surroundings are tidy and well‑maintained, and the shared kitchen is well‑furnished and spotless—great job! The village restaurant Al Torchio is also highly recommended. More sockets in the room and bathroom would be nice, and the mosquitoes are very present and love people. We missed a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

There’s no luxury here, but everything you need for a heartfelt stay. A wonderful landlord, a lovingly furnished room, a kitchen stocked with everything you require. The lounge is perfect for studying all the diverse flyers of valley offers, and the air smells intensely heavenly with fig tree, rosemary, arugula, herbs, and plants. You’re two steps from the water and the mountains—great hiking options. If it rains, there are wonderful ways to enjoy your days. The village offers the finest pizzas; just don’t order a “babypizza” if you want a small one… I shouldn’t advertise so much, otherwise the house stays full all the time. 🤩
