I flew in from Japan and stayed alone for four nights. The hotel sits in the city centre, making it very convenient and reasonably priced. For that price you get a private bathroom and toilet, and the location covers everything you need. The room, though compact, has a classic décor, is impeccably clean, and the floor tiles shine brightly, giving a very clean feel. Everyone on staff is friendly, cheerful, and very helpful. Because the hostal faces a busy street in central Madrid, the surrounding noise can be noticeable until late at night—though it’s not the hostal’s fault. Madrid nights are long, so that’s just part of the experience.
