The staff greeted us with big smiles and the rooms were tastefully decorated and super comfortable. Breakfast was served in a huge hall next to the old keep and was absolutely delicious, and parking on the beautiful grounds was a breeze. The only downsides were a few spiders in the bathrooms and one bathroom door that wouldn’t stay shut, but they didn’t ruin the stay.

The owners gave us a personal welcome, even offering a glass of sparkling wine, and the simple but tasty breakfast was served in a gorgeous room. The renovated castle feels truly special, though the bedroom and bathroom are practically open to each other, so privacy is limited.

The owners made us feel welcome, the breakfast spread was generous and the single room was surprisingly spacious. Unfortunately, the corridor was noisy, the late‑night drink station added more disturbance, and the room suffered from a noticeable echo.

The castle looks impressive from the outside, but the interior left a lot to be desired. Our early‑arrival request was ignored, the doors only opened at 2 pm, and inside we dealt with moldy smells, spider webs, crumbling walls, no Wi‑Fi, and a very limited breakfast. With just two elderly staff trying to run a 6,000 m² property, service was slow, and the promised invoice still hasn't arrived weeks later.
