The rooms were a decent size, and I liked the large windows in the older ones; they seemed fairly clean even though everything was old and broken. The air was very dry, so everything felt dusty—this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but the website photos are wildly misleading. The hotel is old and rundown, and two large dogs barked aggressively at me each time I walked in; if a hotel keeps dogs, they should train them to accept guests. The pool was very cloudy—if that’s because of the salt or cleaning product, a sign should warn guests. The hotel looked empty, but when I arrived at 1 pm they told me I couldn’t check in until 2 pm. With 37 °C outside, PM2.5 over 300, a 20‑minute walk from town, and government warnings on everyone’s phones that it’s dangerous outside, I’ve never experienced that in Thailand before.

I was initially drawn to this hotel's fantastic location, just a short walk from the beautiful walking mile. However, my excitement was short-lived as I was disappointed by the stark contrast between the hotel's photos and the actual room. The room was incredibly basic and outdated, with a strong chemical smell that lingered even after I turned on the air conditioning. The bathroom also had a musty odor at night, which was quite unpleasant.
