The place is in a great spot, parking is free, and the breakfast was very nice. Everyone on the staff was friendly and the food and drinks were reasonably priced.

The location is fabulous and the room was a good size. The staff weren’t particularly friendly.

Overall the hotel is solid with decent quality throughout. It’s close to the city centre, so no taxi needed. Breakfast was very good, the bed was comfortable, and the equipment level was as expected. The room was cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature; the hot water was just over “warm” and the water pressure was a dribble, so it didn’t feel like a four‑star place. At 8 am on a Sunday, housekeeping moved what sounded like a lot of buckets and tried to enter the room without knocking or announcing themselves, which was concerning and could scare a lone female guest (we were a couple).

The staff, especially Kay, offered wonderful customer service and helped me sort out a room reservation issue—she alone deserves five stars. The room phone, however, didn’t seem to work.

The staff were friendly, the property was very clean and had been recently refurbished. A fire door in the corridor outside our room was very noisy, and the lock on our room door had missing screws so we couldn’t use the deadbolt inside. We reported it to management, who said they would fix it.
