Every morning they serve a few regional specialties at breakfast with exceptional care and attention; the restaurant is extraordinary—words fail me—Polenta with nut roast is more than a poem! Tina and Axel make you feel like part of the forge :-)

A solid breakfast featuring regional and homemade items was offered. The tastefully decorated room and the spacious, inviting nature garden appealed to us. It was great to have a well-stocked beverage cooler, the option to make coffee or tea, and a snack drawer at fair prices. The owner couple were always friendly and relaxed in their communication, gladly sharing tips for local activities. We felt at home in the Schmiede.

At first the breakfast wasn’t in buffet form, which felt a bit unusual, but it was served with a varied fresh selection. The rooms were modern and nicely furnished, and the parking was right next to the hotel.

The owners were friendly and welcoming, the place was located by the national park, and it was quiet (except for fast‑moving farm machinery) with wildlife to observe. Nothing to complain about.
