“Didn’t manage to stay here. Don’t book it as I think it may have shut down but still taking money on here”
The room was locked up; I couldn’t tell you it was locked up.

The property was clean and the staff friendly. Nothing else to note.

A warm greeting from the staff, and a room that had everything needed for a single night.

Checking in was straightforward. The pictures and a few reviews suggest a quiet residential street, but it isn’t quiet at all—the Castle Pub sits right at the intersection of three very busy roads with three sets of traffic lights, so you hear cars, lorries, buses, and loud music from cars all night. I wore earplugs and played music on my phone, yet I woke up many times. The room was cold and the duvet supplied was a single summer light one. There was no Wi‑Fi info in the room, and I didn’t want to go down to the pub because it was full of men drinking and full of England flags. As a woman on my own, I felt uneasy about that environment, associating it with violence, racism, and thuggish behavior. The town of Accrington is unfortunately quite run-down, with lots of rubbish and a few rats. I tried to get a refund through OYO but there’s no easy way to reach them; I’ll keep trying but I’m not hopeful. I didn’t stay for my two booked nights and had to pay for an Airbnb elsewhere—extremely inconvenient and costly.

The staff were lovely, but the bed was broken, the traffic was terrible so we barely slept, and the bathroom looked out onto houses across the road and the traffic.
