I loved that they simply trust people. They have a sort of jar in the fridge where people can take drinks and leave the money inside, without someone controlling it, and I think it’s a beautiful thing. I loved everything.

The rooms are spacious and equipped, and the kitchen is very large, with a terrace where you can eat and relax in peace. The guesthouse is in Nucsoara, near Carnic, in a place with mountain views, fresh air, and very tidy. Each room has a fridge section, something I’ve never seen before, so there’s plenty of storage space.

The location is perfect for Retezat trails. The rooms are clean, and the owner is very friendly. I recommend the guesthouse; it’s probably the best choice in the area. The quality‑price ratio is excellent. For meals I chose the local gastronomic spot Bunatati din Retezat, which was also great and very close to Nut House.
