I stayed in a classic Thai‑style villa that had plenty of detail and a solid layout. The pool was clean and pleasant, even though flowers and trees around it constantly challenged the maintenance. Breakfast was unrivaled for a resort of this size, with homemade items and main dishes cooked on request instead of just being boiled on a buffet. There was no noise inside or outside during the evenings and nights, which was great. However, maintenance work was long overdue and not just small fixes. We booked the pricey pool villa, expecting a terrace with a view, but the wooden planks on the terrace were rotten. Mosquitoes were a major nuisance both inside and outside. Wi‑Fi was easy to connect to, yet the signal dropped randomly and frequently on a device, a problem other guests mentioned as common; we reported it to reception but nothing changed.
