The King's Arms Hotel, a 16th-century coaching inn, is nestled in central Malmesbury. This historic hotel offers comfortable rooms with wall-mounted TVs, Nespresso machines, and kettles, plus free Wi-Fi and private parking. A restaurant and traditional bar are on site. Malmesbury Abbey, built in the 7th century, is a 3-minute walk away, making the hotel an ideal base for exploring this ancient town.

There was no breakfast offered at the hotel, and the air conditioning was dusty and swept up from the floor.

The location was good, but the greeting was sparse; we received no info about the location, room, or facilities, and no warm welcome. The bathroom wasn’t clean, there was no hot water or electricity, and no staff on site to talk to. When someone finally arrived and I pointed out the lack of electricity or hot water, she clearly didn’t believe me.

The location on Malmesbury High Street is great and the stable houses are beautifully decorated. The parking entrance is very tight, as expected, and the bathroom floor and walls could use a bit more cleaning.

The room was lovely and the location was great, but it was a bit dirty until housekeeping came and cleaned it up.
