The spot was close to the town centre and the price was fair, but there was no hot water—when I turned the tap on for a shower in the morning, nothing came out. I had to skip my shower before work and felt dirty all day. I emailed the manager, but got no reply.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the reception staff were slow to locate my reservation and even suggested it hadn’t been processed. The room also had a huge hole in the wall that needs fixing, and the main‑street location meant I was constantly woken by roaring traffic—especially bad when I had a sporting event the next day.

The hotel was centrally situated with plenty of nearby restaurants, but one member of our tour group had their booking cancelled and refunded because of overbooking. The rooms were tiny; the triple room offered no room for luggage or hanging clothes.
